Minify resources such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript

The code that generates your web page contains superfluous text such as comments or code that is not used.

When building your web page, your web developer or other experts, may have used comments to build the standard page. However, once the page is built, this text is no longer necessary and adds to the size of the page that is being downloaded. Other examples might be an old page that contains tags, CSS, JavaScript or text that is no longer used and therefore can be removed.

A review and clean-up of the HTML, CSS and code on pages will make them smaller. A web developer can go through and tighten your pages to reduce their size.
